Record Grids at Whilton For Round 6

Record Grids at Whilton For Round 6

The Daytona DMAX Championships headed to Whilton Mill for Round 6 of the 2017 Series this weekend. With a record entry of over 140 drivers, the Northamptonshire circuit saw excellent racing across all six classes through the day.

With all three endurance grids qualifying times as close as ever – the top 18 drivers in Inter Endurance split by less than one second – the races promised to be as close.

In the end, it was the Heavy Enduro that will be talked about for weeks to come. The top five drivers were all black flagged for speeding under yellows, creating a huge upset to the race order and helping Tomek Zaustowicz cement his championship lead as he recovered from an incident which saw him down in 23rd position early on in the race.

Daytona would like to congratulate all the podium finishers on Sunday. Full race reports will be online tomorrow (Tuesday 18th July) but the championship tables have already been updated on the 2017 Results Page.

The next round is on Sunday 20th August at Daytona Sandown Park. Please call Mark on 03303327870 if you want to join the UK’s fastest Arrive&Drive championship.
